Our Story
CTheFuture was founded by Mahika Pandit, a high school student in the Bay Area who recognized a growing, often overlooked problem: while millions of people struggle with poor vision due to the high cost of glasses, countless pairs of usable eyewear are discarded every year.
Driven by the belief that clear vision should be a right, not a privilege, she decided to take action.
What began as a passion project quickly grew into a team of like-minded students who shared a commitment to social good and environmental responsibility. Together, we formed CTheFuture—a youth-led nonprofit focused on collecting used eyeglasses and redistributing them to individuals in need. Along the way, we discovered how powerful small actions can be when rooted in empathy and community.
By placing donation boxes around schools, launching an online platform, and rallying local support, we have created a system that gives old glasses a second life and allows someone else to see the world clearly.
We are proud to be a student-founded, community-driven organization with a vision for a more sustainable and equitable future. And we are just getting started!
